Maya Hayuk // Wynwood Walls

Happy almost Thanksgiving! Before heading out for one last day of behind the scenes projects and some grocery shopping for tomorrow’s turkey day, I wanted to share the photos from our visit to Wynwood Walls in Miami.

Yesterday, I mentioned that I took too many photos at Wynwood to just slap them onto an already super long Miami travel guide post. So instead, I’m sharing the photos from that part of our trip today.

If you’re not familiar with Wynwood Walls already, you can read more about it here. But basically it’s a warehouse district in Miami that was transformed into a mural gallery of sorts with amazing artists from around the world (started by Tony Goldman in 2009). If you’re ever in Miami, you should definitely check it out! But until then. here are some photos from our visit to tide you over…

(above) My favorite mural in all of Wynwood is by Maya Hayuk. The colors! The pattern!

Places to Visit in Miami // Wynwood Walls

Wynwood Walls, Miami

This wall was my second fave (after the Maya Hayuk wall), but I couldn’t find the name of the artist. It’s the Junior and Hatter building. So if you know who it is, please let me know.

Love all the colors and patterns in the ’50 Cakes of Gay’ wall by Kashink.

Cool mural

Okay, this wall abovewas actually not part of Wynwood Walls (but we did pass it on the way to Wynwood, so I’m thinking it’s fair game).

Haas and Hahn mural at Wynwood Walls (Miami)

This color palette is perfection, from artists Jeroen Koolhaas and Dre Urhahn (also known as Haas and Hahn).
